I got I too, after a struggle with my mental health (courtesy of some sickness I'd got upstate and then exacerbated by wt n healing hindered by wt) when I got bit by an animal and spent a few nites in hospital on iv meds. Sorry bout what happened to you Punk. You know I think you're a really cool guy. But if someone who's been all along the wt like u can wake up because of the crap he sees first hand, then others can too! This new rewriting of the fds teaching will surely show others the door too.

ok, i've suddenly got heaps of time for stuff, i can cuddle with my husband on weekend mornings, and i don't have to spend money on meeting clothes!

i've got all these great clothes i hardly wear!

we can make pancakes on saturday mornings!

He sat back and saw good for his work. You don't get to do that as a Jw cuz there's so much pointlessness and no time to scratch yourself. Heaven knows how the dubs with kids do it.

Yeah weekends r easier. Feeling so much more alive like u all said, and free of weird fears. I'm only doing good in the world and can talk to random people at the shops or work without feeling guilty that I should be witnessing to them and are responsible for their lives.

Ly husband is finally looking at a new exciting career too doing something he'll love rather than just whatever. Life's good when it's not got Satan around every corner every time you wanna do something normal.

Interestingly, if u read Daniel 7 its talk bout kings of north n south indicates nothing about great gaps in history until something happens to fit the wt idea of the prophecy and how it helps them beat their Armageddon drum. The truth is, most JWs only come into contact with history thru the wt. It's when u study it otherwise you find out it doesn't work like that! I doubted the Anglo American interpretation for years...funny how when u leave u look back and see that you'd been subconsciously doubting for years.

I believe you can know the flood is bunk etc and still believe. Scientists have found evidence that the 'flood' was when the Sea of Mamara breached the Bosporus and flooded into the heretofore fresh water Black Sea, and then it flooded down to Mesopotamia or somewhere at the time said to be Noah's ark. Now the Bible said it flooded all the earth, but to the Bible writers, the entire earth was known to them as just the middle east/Asia Minor.

Yep, the Bible writers had a limited perspective, but that doesn't mean there's not some deity. Evolution does not preclude a God either imo. A deity could have driven it, because natural selection, although it's what Darwin stated was the cause and scientists have yet to come up with another 'material' or natural cause, lacks the ability to create new features, though not shed old ones.

I was raised atheist, turned JW, and am now some sort of Christian who incorporates other possibilities. Maybe you can have it both ways...who knows.

I was one of them til I was 29, JWFacts. I got lucky though. Others don't: they marry a drop kick out of desperation or are 40 and live with their mums!
